About foodtastico

foodtastico is a bilingual cooking recipe site (Spanish and English) focused on Chilean and home cooking: Fiestas Patrias dishes, homemade bread, traditional desserts, meal prep and everyday meals. It is not a shop: nothing — no products, no ingredients — is for sale here. The goal is simple: help anyone cook well at home, with clear instructions and no fluff.

There are two partners behind foodtastico, with different roles. Pablo Minder cooks: he makes and tests every recipe published here in his own kitchen, and that is where the timings, the quantities and the mistakes flagged on each page come from — including the times something went wrong. Jorge Moya publishes and maintains the site.

There is no outside editorial team, no licensed recipes and no content bought from third parties. If a recipe does not hold up in the kitchen, it does not get published.

Before publishing a recipe, we cook it in a real kitchen. We adjust quantities, timings and temperatures until the result is consistent, and we note the common mistakes so we can flag them on each page. That's why every recipe includes real timings, exact quantities (in grams and in cup measures), and the why behind the key steps, not just the how.

When a recipe improves or changes, we update its modified date so you know it's current.

We publish each recipe in Spanish and English because we want Chilean and Latin American cooking to reach people searching in English too. Both versions are original content, not machine translations: each page is written with care for the vocabulary and ingredient equivalents of each language.
